Fabric Flowers

At our April meeting  , Jenny B showed us how to make fabric flowers. There are lots of different ways to make them, using techniques of gathering, folding, & rolling. There was  also shaping of petals using specialized flower making tools.

Anne S decided she would go one step further & make digitized fabric flowers ( shown above). Individual petals & leaves were stitched out using an embroidery machine, then carefully shaped and assembled using florist wire, florist tape, & purchased stamens. They look fabulous!

These bright pink flowers were made using just plain fabric and are just as stunning.

Fabric flowers are simple to make and can be made in just about any fabric, with every flower looking  different. Even a beginner sewer can achieve a stunning bunch. A visit to our group will have our ladies showing you just how easy they are to make. Our next meeting will be on:-

9.30am - 12.30pm
